Magazines ???

Getting busy with new designs for 2013. I have been contacted by 2 magazines for articles on my doll work.

 As I continue with the process I will give updates. Seems the years of hard work are paying off. Remembering always to pay it forward.

Swimming for summer in the pool and sipping lemonaide

KNOWing summer is right here at us now, it's time for kids to swim, running around the yard, time to make cupcakes and homemade iceceam, sipping lemonaide on the front porch, and some of us may be working in the yard, planting those favorite flowers.  We want to hear about the shows that you're participating in or attending. So send us some *Shows and Events* and their corresponding dates and locations!

 Primitive Folk Art Mammy Doll Bagholder holding her sewing machine created from our original pattern from 2000, with vintage feedsack fabrick apron with cross stitched apron front. Just listed, Her head wrap is green cotton plaid, with green/brown,rose red,floral dress top, green/cream homespun bottom skirting. She has individual sewn fingers and sculpted nose and mouth. Halloween Primitive Folk Art Witch Doll Pattern

 On the Etsy shop you can find this as a mailed pattern or epattern for digital download. I tried to make her easy to make. I made her jacket out of black quilted fabric which goes over her dress bodice.  the hat is made from black felt on the bottom and the top I also used the black quilted. You can use most any black fabric you like and you could even paint the hat and sand it to make it look like leather. 

Her dress is made from a homespun plaid and you could use a nice flannel too would be great. I did make her leggins under the dress. Painted her boots and sanded them. Individual fingers with each one filled and movable. You can use the raw wood for hair, roving wool if you like or you can use wool yarn.  She is a really fun witch to make. I have added additional details within the pattern for you. I hope you like her.
